So I’m assuming that just like any other person, I go through different phases with food obsessions but the latest one as of this year has hit me like a pregnant woman and I have yet to give birth. My new obsession with Mexican food has left me in awe wondering how was I born Cuban. But c’mon, who doesn’t love tacos, nachos, anything tortilla-based with a huge and delicious margarita? With that being said the new and improved taco craze throughout Miami has made Mexican trendy with new places popping up like Coyo in Wynwood and Bodega on South Beach. But before I tell you what to sip on at these newer, revolutionized taco spots, I want to let you in on the best of best Miami’s old school, authentic Mexican joint. Paquitos on 163rd and Biscayne has been around for over 20 years and have all the ORIGINAL tacos, taquitos, flautas, authentic sides like refried beans and killer Mexican chili or that fat chalupa that can satisfy your deprivation, I mean craving. Run by a Mexican family, the traditionally decorated restaurant and is still running so many years later with a wait out the door most of the time. But let’s sip on what’s really important besides every delicious dish they have to offer you, make sure to take the moment to have their frozen margs. One will have you smiling and two will definitely get you feeling good for the night because the tartness of that liquid perfection will creep up on you, wanting you to get to Cabo right now. I’ll let you sip on it to see!
